Ho Hum

Not a lot going on over here. It's Sunday and I want to go shopping but I don't have any money. Gas is $3.43 at QT and I need to go take advantage of that bargain price. Gas prices are trippy. I don't understand why they're so high and I don't understand why EXXON is making such huge profits. I should probably read up on it so I'll be at least a little bit knowledgeable when I'm bitching about it, but I'm not ready for a nap yet. Bah. I remember when I could fill up for $16. I remember when gas was under $1! I feel like one of those old timers who talks about how stuff used to be, only I have less nose hair.

I'm going to be doing some traveling for work in the next few months. Compass and a few other banks were bought by a Spanish company, BBVA, and I'm going to be part of the team that trains the other banks how to be Compass. State National Bank has already converted and next up is Texas State Bank in August. I don't know yet where I'll be going or even when, but I'm looking forward to it. I think doing this will look good on my resume and I know it will expose me to new things. The only bummer is that I'll be gone for up to 6 weeks at a time and since I don't know where I'm going, I may not get to come home. Depends on how far away I am. Maybe I'll be near San Antone and I'll get to visit with a friend I haven't seen in a while ;) I will be getting some mad overtime, though, and that's always nice.
